5 Newspaper Titles
The City Press - This was chosen by Matt. I like the name because it sounds really professional, but I don't like the name because Press is an american word for a bunch of people with cameras who put embarassing photos of celebrities on magazines and spread rumours about them that ruin their career. The Commuter - I didn't realy like this one because I don't what it means, and some people might feel the same way. This also sounds like a Tabloid about robots and metal stuff. The Forum - I like the name because i think it sounds quite like a Tabloid. This was chosen by Amber, and I don't like the name because it always reminds of people talking to strangers, kind of what a Forum is. The Universal Voice - I chose this one because I like the sound of it. It sounds professional and it goes well with a Tabloid. Sarah decided to chose this one too, for reasons I can guess, she decided on a name "The International Voice" but decided to change :/! I don't like this because it could potentially be too long. The Daily Print - Sarah changed this because she had gone for my idea instead. So she randomly put this one on and personally I don't like it because it sounds too un-professional. I do like it in a way because it sounds like a British Tabloid and not an American one.

5 Possible Names For Newspaper
5 titles possible:
I know for a fact that I want to be calling my main topics Stalking Celebs. This is basically a series, or a regular collum of a reporter following certain celebrities around for a certain amount of time.
This time I am going to ‘Stalk’ Cher Lloyd because there are so many stories about her that can seem appealing to the audience.
Cher Lloyd: WannaBe? – People might want to see what Cher Lloyd is doing now, she was one of famous people who would put on her waterworks when she was in the bottom two, along with Kate.
Confused who she is? – This could sound like Cher becoming mental, which could lead to lots of popularity but when they read the actual story, they would disappointed. Resulting in them not buying the Newspaper any longer since they would think they have been punked.
Who will she attempt to be next? – This makes Cher sound like a dare devil (Which she is clearly not.) Plus this sound like a magazine title.
Cher Lloyd: Confused Identity – I liked this one at first, but it’s too dramatic, so I think I am going to leave this one.
Who will she try and be this time? – It’s almost the same as the third one, it is too Similar, and again too dramatic.

Target Audience: Nationality
•The newspaper would likely apply to white British people because it is something that they would read.
•Although it is mostly aimed at them, any other nationality could easily read this too.
Target Audience: Class
•The class which this page could apply to is probably working class. Because the newspaper is a tabloid it is obviously going to be cheap, no more than £1.
•Tabloids such as The Sun have been up and down the prices from 20p to 30p.
Target Audience: Gender
•The majority of the gender is most likely female, as most girls like to gossip about who done who and what did what.
•It can also apply to men to, but I am not going to be writing about the sport, which is classes as celebrity gossip for men.
Target Audience: Age
•My target audience is for anyone from my age (13) to someone who is up there 30-40 area.
•My Page covers celebrity gossip which a lot of people of any age love.

What we discussed...
Our group had four individuals called Gemma, Sarah, Amber and Matt. We thought if we had more people in the group then we would get more done.
Our conversation included what kind of newspaper we would be doing, we had the option of a broadsheet or a tabloid. We decided to do a tabloid because it would be more fun writing about celebrity gossip than boring political paragraphs.
We then decided on what stories or topics we would each cover individually. Matt decided to do the subject of Movies. Amber chose to do the subject on Fashion, and Sarah decided on the term ‘Getting ready for the summer’ and I chose to do ‘Stalk Celebrities for a week’
We decided this was going to be too much like a magazine so we have decided to all have back up plans which are un decided.

Do You Feel Your Product Is Suitable For Your Target Audience?
My Target Audience was for young teenage girls around the age of 13. I believe my inital desgin is different to my orignal but in a positive way because my background is red dark clouds which sets the mood of my ad. I believe my product is suitable for my Target Audince because at the age of 13 your year 8-9 so it's all about looking good, so having really nice shoes is essential. Because I am 13 I decided to go on what I would wear if I could design my own clothes. Lots of girls would love my shoe because it is sparkly and pink, two of my favourite things. My "Model" was just an extra to make it look more professional, so it was a bonus.

How has technology helped turn your design into a real product?
I used PhotoShop to create my shoe advert. This helped me in plenty of ways, especially with the Crop Tool. There were various other tools which I used throughout creating my advert such as different types of font. This makes my advert more effective and noticable.
Copy and Paste has helped because I have been able to take a picture from the internet and this is also helped because I didn't have to take my own pictures which would look less professional.

How does your finish product compare to your design?
My advert was of a shoe, which i had to create myself. My plan was to have a boot like structure with a block heel, this would be made of pure leather, and would come 1/4 of the way from the knee. It would accessorized with 2 pink belt with holes in, that would twist around the boot. At the stub of toe there would a layout of silver rhinestones which would complete the whole look.
My advert designs all had fairies in them, which had to look evil and pretty at the same time. The fairy/devil had to be either near the shoe or on the shoe. I had an idea of the fairy/devil to be wearing the shoes, but i concluded that it would be too complicated and my audience may not get the idea of the shoe advert and could lead to something along the lines of the dress or hair, which is not intended.
in all of my designs, it had to have a black and red dark cloud background. This worked, as i found the perfect one, and i still stick by it. it is very dark and very scary.
I had the idea of giving out a free heart charm which they could easily tie through one of the holes and wear it out, or they could put it on their phone as a phone charm. plus it it really pretty so girls would love it.
Overall i think my product came out better than intended and i am really happy with it, compared to my designs, i think it came out better, and that is unusual for me :D

My Findings
My Findings
1. I asked my class “What is your favourite name?” they had a choice of different names, and Develle came up as the most popular vote. Some of my audience voted for Serious or Harmony.
2. I then asked my class what kind of font would they like, and the most answer was 3, font 7 came in a close second. Font 3 was called Bordeaux Roman Bold LET, and font 7 was called Party LET.
3. After that I asked my class if they agreed with the slogan, a majority answered yes while about 3 people thought it should sound more tough and evil, so I am going to change my slogan.
4. Finally, I asked if there was anything else I could do, most answered No, while I got an interesting idea of making a Charm boot. I thought this is a good idea so I am going to see how I could include this idea with mine.

Extra Information About My Target Audience
For my target audience, I would like to do shoe sizes from size 4-10. Many girls have either small or big feet depending on their height. I would like my shoes to be in places such as Clarks, Shoe Express and other popular shoe stores. I would not be very happy with my shoes being sold for less than £20 as the materials used are very expensive and I would not make a profit out of selling my product.
In the situation of my shoe being in a big sale, such as SUMMER SALE, or, CLOSING DOWN SALE, I would like my shoe product to be sold at a minimum of £14.99. I think this could possibly be a reasonable price since my shoe has expensive material.
The reason for choosing my target audience is that many young girls (most likely to be aged younger than 8-9) will decide to use these shoes for a variety of purposes, ie going to the park, running and playing. This increases the danger of getting these shoes damaged and/or dirty. Many parents will be strict on the use of the shoes but as they are only hand washable their shelf life decreases if used constantly.
No refunds available, the warnings on the tag of shoe include:
-Keep away from fire
-Not machine washable
-Not recommended on slippery surfaces
-Keep out of damp, wet or extreme weather conditions

Brand Name and Product Names
Brand and Product Names
Product Names
Develle - I like this name because it sounds french and rather posh. Girls who are around the teenage zone like to think they are all sophosticated and smart as well as looking good, so if a girl or friend comes and asked them about the shoe they bought then they could say something to the extent of "It's the Develle boot from *PRODUCT NAME* "
Demonelle - I think this name is trying to hard to be an evil name. I like it but I think it could be used for another shoe by the company. I don't like it because it sounds to childish and I if i was wearing a shoe called this I would be embarassed by the name because there is nothing really evil about this shoe that matches a Demon.
Angelle - I have now noticed I use "Elle" a lot. I think it is because I would like my shoes to sound classy and stylish without it sounding too un-professional or childish. I do like it because I think it sounds nice and I like the way it is spelt. If I were to use this title I would probably go for the font " Angelle" or " Angelle" because it looks fancy and that it the style I am aiming for.
Mercy - I like this name. I haven't got a reason why though, it is just the thought of it. It could mean that you better watch out the heel because it deathly or leathel and you need to beg for mercy not to trodden on or something along the lines of that.
Minx - I like this name because you could spell many different ways such as " Minkz" "Minx" "Minkx" and if that works the company could end up with lots of new ideas such as "Minnie Minx" for babies or toddlers or younger kids, and then the company could move into a new target audience of "Maximum Minx" for adults between the ages of 30+ !
Brand Names
Girl B.A.D - B.A.D stands for Be A Devil. I like the idea of my shoe being called a evil type of name, because the target audience of teenages do "bad" stuff all the time so why not make a shoe for the purpose? (not wearing them while doing the "bad" stuff though, because it just unfortunate and bad for the company.)
Demonic Angel - I like this name because it is the best of both. I like the brand picture and it could be a matching pair. The picture of an "S" with horns on top and point tail at the bottom with a Halo on the top.
Hell Halo - I like this because it could be interprited as a Angel from Hell. I wanted to call it Angel from Hell because it sounds really good, but I have already used Angel enough, so I called Hell Halo.
Silver Tiger - I like this because it sounds really cool and a majority of people in this world like tigers and silver. But it doesn't have anything to do with my shoe, apart from the silver gems on the tip of the toe.
Silver Heart Drops - I like this shoe brand name because it has that really nice image of a heart dripping silver. Again it has nothing to do with shoe, because the only silver thing on my shoe is the gems at the tip of the toe.

Client Proposal
In order to create an advertising proposal, i need to gather info about my company who makes the product, where it wants to be advertised, what i want the advertising to achieve and how much i have to spend.
The advertising budget for my campaign to advertise Girl B.A.D, Develle, is £10,000. This will pay for the leather, the belts, the charm, the box and tissue, the spongy inside and the gems. this will also help with finding out a way to complete how to make it waterproof and make sure the leather does not scratch to become ruined. we also need to find out how to keep the gems on.
I want my advertisement to achieve a boost of sales. i want the girls to know that the new shoe is the next best thing! since they are new they can't become popular without people knowing about it.
In my mind i feel that with advertisement we could produce a number of different TV adverts, such as girls wearing them feeling all cool and bad, but not doing anything bad, and then say in an american voice "In stocks now" or something like that. I don't think there should be little posters around the streets because it seems too unprofessional. But putting it on a BIG board on the motor way or something would seem good because girls get bored looking at nothing but roads, so it could be interesting and catch their eye. Advertising them on girl websites like GirlsGoGames.com etc...
my target audience includes teenager girls and maybe even primary school girls. Since its pink the girls will love it. Bribing them with a cool box and heart charm should make them want it more. This shoe is affordable since it is £20. Mums could buy it without question for young girls.
The Technical Restrictions include the following:
Un Strachable Leather
Really strong glue for the gems to stay on
the soft sponge to make their catwalk a comfortable one
these are also the USP's of my shoe with others like
a free heart charm - Everyone loves hearts and they can put it on a keychain or on their shoe.
a cool box with pink tissue - Normally you get white tissue in your new box with a Plain box you just throw away. But because my box is really pretty it is something you can keep! And you can put your shoes in there again and again and again!
so its like we are bribing them to buy it.

About my shoe
About my shoe
My shoe is based on high heel shoes. It is made from REAL black leather and had a nice pink belt from it. The company name is called Girl B.A.D. (Girls Be A Devil) I really like this name because it sounds really good and i think girls would buy them. they are not baby like and seem really grown up. I decided to call my shoe Develle. It sounds like Devil but in a frenchy kind of way. The design for my shoe is that it goes half way up your shin, and had a glitzy type of rhinestones where the toes normally are. I really like my ideas so far because if i saw this shoe in the shops then i beg for them. The price they would normally be is £20 + depending on the size of the heel. which is in 3 sizes of 4 inches being the biggest and the no heel version being the lowest. I know my design is based on HIGH HEELS but some parents wouldn't let my target audience (Teenager Girls) wear high heels, so i did a flat version for the people who think they are being responsible. Of course the price for 4 inch heel will be bigger than the flat heel because it costs more to make. i think the price for my heels with affordable, normally leather is really expensive and it no one could really afford it. We can make a profit from to!
The USP (Unique Selling Point) for my magazine is that it comes in a black and pink box with fushia tissue paper and a little heart charm which can be tied into one of the wholes of the in the pink belts. Plus there is no shoe like it at the moment. =-)

The ASA is the UK's independent regulator of advertising across all media, including marketing on websites. We work to ensure ads are legal, decent, honest and truthful by applying the Advertising Codes.
The Advertising Codes contain wide-ranging rules designed to ensure that advertising does not mislead, harm or offend. Ads must also be socially responsible and prepared in line with the principles of fair competition. These broad principles apply regardless of the product being advertised.
In addition, the Codes contain specific rules for certain products and marketing techniques. These include rules for alcoholic drinks, health and beauty claims, children, medicines, financial products, environmental claims, gambling, direct marketing and prize promotions. These rules add an extra layer of consumer protection on top of consumer protection law and aim to ensure that UK advertising is responsible.
The ASA administers the rules in the spirit as well as the letter, making it almost impossible for advertisers to find loopholes or ‘get off on a technicality’. This common sense approach takes into account the nature of the product being advertised, the media used, and the audience being targeted.

my contents page explanation
About My contents Page
My Contents Page is in 2 columns with 2 main pictures and the sign for my magazine which I got from Google images. With the columns I made them easy to understand and put a big number before the information.
There are many colours involved with my magazine such as blue, pink and purple (all different shades) I chose these ones because I think that it would appeal to little girls who like horses and pink. I made sure that the colours weren’t too boisterous.
There was many fonts which I used and I tested them out, because I wanted to make sure they were readable. Some were neat and looked computerised, while others looked messy and scribbled. I tested the colours with them until I thought they could suit.
The colours and fonts as well as they layouts all fit in with my magazine because it looks like my front cover. I think that it is good to look like this because then it gives the similar effect. Some of my pages included Pippa Funnel’s Diary. Even though little girls might not know who she is, there is a game out called Pippa Funnel, which is out on Wii and Nintendo DS.
I really like my contents page, because it goes well with what I am trying to do. For the first time ever I actually made something that I am happy with and it came out the right way.

Explanation of Page One
Explanation of Page one
My design for my magazine page was simple. I used a big picture so little kids won’t be intimidated by the amount of writing. Although my target audience is for very young girls who are most likely to have not started reading, I have made an appropriate story about horse called Pip who gets out of his stable and gets lost. I have made it into a cliff hanger so that children would be tempted to buy the next one and see what happens. Mums are most likely to read my story to their children if they cannot read so I have used words that they will most likely understand.
The colours I used were pink. Since girls like pink and it is a pretty colour, I have used it all over. The picture I have used is a one with two horses on a hill near the sea! This was where Pip ended up and I described it nicely.
I really like my page one because I would of read this if I was a 5-10 year old. I really like the pink and I think that the girls now would like it even more. It is a fun story that isn’t sad.
At first I didn’t know what I was going to do, so I made it up as I went along. I think there is a couple of punctuation stuff.

My Five Titles for my magazine
5 titles for my magazine
Horses up close – sounds like a fashion show of horses, which is the complete opposite to what my magazine is about. teenagers might want it, but my target audience is little kids aged 6-11.
I Want a pony – sound to babyish and might get the impression of kids thinking they could get a pony, and parent might get put off by it.
Horse and Pony Guide – sounds more like a newsletter than anything. Kids might be put off by it.
Love horses and ponies- seems okay for a name but I think it might be to unprofessional.
Horses and ponies - I really did like this one, if it was on a front cover then people might think of it as a magazine for a children, which is exactly what I wanted. That is why I chose it, even though it sounds a bit to plain.

Write Up - My TV Listings Magazine
In Media we were asked to create our very own TV Listings Magazine, using the skills we have learnt throughout the term. I started off by basing mine around the magazine “What’s on TV” and “TV choice” At first it didn’t go very well and looked very stupid, so i started again. I decided i would use the current main story of Eastenders, using my own idea’s too. With the help of other magazines it helped me make it look like a middle class magazine. I included a title, price, colour theme, main feature and my own mind into it. For the smaller stories i didn’t do all soaps, i did one on coronation street, and the other on a celebrity ice skating competition called “Dancing on Ice” i didn’t know what else to put, so i put in right hand corner an advertisement to win a family holiday!
My price was reasonable and my colours were not bright. I targeted my audience to be around middle aged and younger. I wanted it to be fresh and good looking. I didn’t put a bar code on it though, so it could be, alternatively, at the back. I am happy with my magazine, and compared to the one i didn’t finish, it looks amazing! I think that people would want to buy it if it was on the shelves but not everyone has the same taste.

My Five Fonts For My Magazine
5 Fonts For My Magazine Front Cover
My Arial Black - I think this could be used as a big title, with the right colour. I also think that it could be used in the size 70-80 or bigger, as it is very bold and could stand out if on a magazine shelf.
Comic Sans MS - I think you could used this for the small stories which i have planned to put on my magazine cover. Probably size 12-16.
Calibri (Body) - This is clear writing and i think it should be used for when i write the website on the bottom of page because it would be clear enough for everyone to see. Mostly size 10-12
GungsuhChe- Very neat and fancy! Would seem really good to put on as an advert for something in magazine. I think it could be size 8-10 or bigger
Harlow Bold Italic - Thick, Bold and Neat! This could be perfect for something that should stand out. I Don’t think people would understand it if it was the main title since it is a little curly for something as important as that. Not sure exactly what size because if it too small then it will be too hard to read.

Evaluation - TV Listings Magazines
In media we had a task to put 3 different types of magazines onto PowerPoint and put the good and bad points onto it. I chose TV Easy, Radio Times and What’s On TV!
Similarities
They had similarities such as the big title, big main picture, date and website and a price. Radio Times was the most expensive, it was £1. TV Easy was 49p, and the cheapest was What’s On TV! This was 40p.
Differences
The difference s between them was that Radio Times didn’t have a bar code and didn’t have other pictures, so the layout was different. The colours were very different, Radio Times had black, white, grey and red, TV Easy was very bright with colours of bright luminous pink, orange and white, whereas What’s On TV was very reasonable and modern, it had a blue background, yellow writing and other primary colours.
The Target Audience
Radio Times – tends to be older people.
TV Easy –tends to be younger people.
What’s On TV! – tends be middle aged people.
My Mood Board Evaluation
In media we had to do three mood boards on the topics we might want to put on our magazine. I chose horses because I used to ride them and I love them, dogs because I find them adorable and finally reptiles because I find them very interesting, and because my brother owns them so I could information about them! In the end I chose Horses because I love them and I read horse magazines. So they give me ideas on what I could put in my front cover. I am going to put big picture of a horse as the back round with the colours of purple and pink. :-)

Spreadsheet Write Up xx
Write up of Spreadsheet
We all made a quiz, and chose the best questions. Then miss photo copied enough copies so that the whole class could take it. She photo copied the answers as well and then stapled them together so it has everyone’s answers on it.
We then wrote them into Microsoft excel and sorted them into groups. In our results we found out that X box and Just Dance are the popular game and console in our class. We also found out the most popular social networking site is Facebook.
Almost 100% of the class said facebook is the social networking site they use the most, whereas some people didn’t answer the page at the back because they didn’t realize that it was double sided, but I predict that they would of chosen facebook. My reason is because a lot of people have facebook and its none stop talk about it, almost like it’s the “in” thing to have or do.
